Talking Website for locksmiths
Most locksmith work isn't a lockout. It's new locks after moving house, a uPVC door that won't lock properly, an upgrade the insurance company asked for, a safe to fit. Those customers have questions before they book, and they'll go with whoever gives them a straight answer first. A contact form is the last thing they want.
A normal website lets customers walk. A talking website lets customers talk. Ask questions, get answers, then book.
What a Talking Website does for a locksmith
Your site talks back.
Customers tap one button and ask what they want to know: can you get to me tonight, do you cover my area, can you change all the locks after a break-in, do you do uPVC doors. Your agent answers from what you've told us about your business, the way you would.
Your agent handles "roughly how much?"
Customers want a rough idea before they book. Your agent gives the prices you're happy to share, or explains how you price, and books the job, so nobody gets a surprise on the doorstep.
Your agent books them in.
Once their questions are answered, your agent books the call-out straight into your diary, so the enquiry doesn't sit in an inbox while they ring round.
Planned work and emergencies, both covered.
Your agent books lock changes, repairs and upgrades into your diary, and puts genuine emergencies, like a lockout, straight through to you on your mobile, if that's how you want them handled.
Your site looks like your business.
Your work, your area, your own photos. On your form, you send us a website in your trade you like the look of, and we build yours from that, so it looks the way you want it to, not like a template with the name swapped.
You stay on the job.
If you can't get to your phone, the customer gets a text straight away with a link to your website, so they can talk to your agent and book, instead of ringing the next name.
How it works
- Talk to Ollie on this site. He's the same kind of agent your customers would get. Book your specification call with Martin.
- You receive your specification form, "Fill after listening" (an audio message inside the form talks you through it). This is where you give us the essentials we need to build your site.
- You have your specification call with Martin, booked with Ollie, where he builds the detail and the message around what you've sent us, so your site sounds like your business, not a template.
- Your Test Drive, where you operate your Talking Website, with your own voice agent on it, and book yourself an appointment exactly as your customers would. If you're happy, pay your first month. Then your website and your voice agent are commissioned, you sign off each page, and we push your site live, usually within a week and sometimes in as little as three days.
Launch price: £97 a month, locked in. No setup fee. No long term contract.
Questions locksmiths ask
A normal website lets customers walk. A talking website lets customers talk. On your Talking Website for locksmiths, your agent answers questions about lock changes, uPVC repairs and insurance-approved locks, books planned work straight into your diary, puts genuine lockouts through to your mobile if that's how you want them handled, and if you can't get to your phone, the customer gets a text straight away with a link to your website.
Your agent gives the answer you'd give. Most locksmiths do one of two things, and you can do both:
- Explain why it depends. Swapping one euro cylinder is a very different job from changing every lock on the house after moving in. Your agent explains that, so the customer understands what affects the price, then books the call-out.
- Give a starting price. Your agent can say something like "a lock change starts from [£]", or your call-out charge, so they know roughly where they stand before you come out.
You choose on your specification call, and your agent only quotes the figures you've given us.
Your agent doesn't guess. If someone asks something you haven't covered, like whether their insurance will pay for new locks after a break-in, your agent says you'll answer that properly yourself, and books them in or takes their number for a callback. The more you tell us on your form and your specification call, the more your agent can answer on the spot.
Yes. On the specification form you fill in before speaking to Martin, you choose what your agent books: a callback or a site visit. The most effective is a site visit. Your agent books the earliest free slot in your diary, and you can always ring the customer first to check anything you want to know before you make the journey.
However you want it handled. Some locksmiths want urgent jobs booked into the next free slot. Others want your agent to give the customer your mobile number for genuine emergencies, like a lockout or a door that won't lock after a break-in. You choose on your specification call, and your agent sticks to it.
Yes. On every booking, your agent tells the customer, the way you would, that you'll need proof they live there before you open the door, and takes the address. So the genuine ones come prepared, and the check is done before you arrive.
