The process, and when you pay

1. Talk to Ollie

Tap the orange button on this site. Ollie shows you what a Talking Website feels like from your customers' side and answers your questions. If a Talking Website sounds right for you, he books your specification call with Martin.

2. Your specification form: "Fill after listening"

Yes, "Fill after listening". Once you know what it's called, you know what to do. It's a form with an audio message built in that talks you through filling it in. Listen first, then fill it in.

This is where you give us the essentials we need to build your site:

• your business name, your name, your trade and the area you cover, with your phone and email (some of these are already filled in for you, so you just check them)
• your current website address, if you have one, so we can take your details from it
• what you want your agent to book: a survey or site visit, or a callback
• how you want to be told about bookings: text, email or both
• the one that matters most: the address of a website in your trade you like the look of, so we can design yours around it
• your years in the trade, what you specialise in, and a couple of jobs you're proud of
• the trade body you belong to, if you're in one
• photos of your real jobs, and one sample quote if you've got one

When it's done, press Send and it's back with us instantly. It needs to be with us before your specification call.

3. Your specification call (15 minutes, by phone)

Martin rings your mobile at the time you picked. No links, no apps, no video. Your form gives us the facts. The specification call is where Martin builds the detail and the message around them: what makes your business yours, how you work, what your customers need to hear. That's how your site ends up sounding like you, not a template. At the end, you agree a time for your Test Drive.

4. We build your Talking Website

We build your website and your agent, connect your agent to your diary, and test everything properly.

5. Your Test Drive

On a video call, you operate your Talking Website, with your own voice agent on it. Ask your agent the questions you wanted answered, and book yourself an appointment exactly as your customers would.

6. Pay, and go live

If you're happy with everything on your Test Drive, you pay your first month. Then your website and your voice agent are commissioned, you sign off each page, and we push your site live, usually within a week and sometimes in as little as three days.

How long it takes

Most of the timing is in your hands. Leave at least one clear day between talking to Ollie and your specification call, so you've got time to fill in your specification form. Leave at least two clear days between your specification call and your Test Drive, so we've got time to build your site. Pick the earliest times, and you can go from your first chat with Ollie to a live site in under two weeks.
